Why I’m Leaving Social Media for Good 👎

For those of you who noticed, my Instagram page—with almost 4,000 followers—was deleted by Instagram. Not only that, but they also deleted my backup page, which literally only had three music videos of my songs. Apparently, my content is too sexy for them.

I don’t make a dime off social media or anything I do, yet Instagram allows people in the porn and sex industry to use their platform to promote and sell adult content and services. So, they allow all of that, but when it comes to a Foot Fetish Clown, that’s where they draw the line? I don’t get it!

Am I losing brain cells or losing sleep over this? No. Luckily, I have my own website, which I’ve worked hard on and spent tons of money to maintain. It’s my own little slice of the internet, where I can say and do whatever I want without having to follow any community guidelines.

Truth be told, I hate social media. I’ve never liked it. The only reason I’ve used it is as a tool to promote my work—nothing more. What blows my mind is how traditional businesses, like restaurants and department stores, have to invest huge amounts of money in inventory just to sell products to customers. Meanwhile, social media companies don’t have to spend a dime on products because we, as a society, decided to give them free content.
We are the ones providing them with free products. When I say “content creator,” I don’t just mean influencers. I mean anyone who has ever uploaded anything on social media. If you’ve ever posted a video or photo on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or any other platform, guess what? You are a content creator. You created content for social media companies to exploit and monetize.
Not only are we allowing social media companies to profit off our videos and photos without paying us a dime, but we’re also letting them control what we can say and do, restricting our freedom of speech in every way possible. And for what? So we can endlessly scroll through cat videos? Social media is just a giant popularity contest to see who has the most followers. And even that is pointless because when you post something, it only gets shown to a tiny fraction of your audience—unless you’re willing to pay for ads.
For example, my Instagram videos would get about 200 views. Out of 4,000 followers, that’s just 5%. Only 5% of my audience actually saw my content. So tell me, what was the point of having 4,000 followers if Instagram only showed my content to 5% of them?
And let’s say you do make it big and become an “influencer.” People think influencers make a living off social media, but in reality, most of them struggle to pay their bills because these platforms screw them over and don’t pay them what they deserve. If you get 1 million views on a video, logically, you should be a millionaire, right? If you made just one dollar per view, that would be life-changing. But that’s not how it works. That’s why you constantly hear about influencers scamming their audiences or doing crazy things just to make ends meet. Some of them have even admitted they had to get regular jobs because they weren’t making enough money as influencers.

Honestly, I’ve never seen the upside to any of this. That’s why I’ve decided to stop being active on social media. Maybe I’ll use X.com a little since they seem to be more lenient for now—but who knows how long that will last? So don’t get your hopes up. In general, don’t expect to see much of me on social media anymore.

If you want to keep up with what I’m doing, you’ll have to visit my official website: FlipFlopTheClown.com. Bookmark it. Add it to your favorites. Because my website is the only place on the internet where you can find 100% of my content. Everything on my website is free to view and download. And if you decide to share any of my content on social media, all I ask is that you give me credit by mentioning my name. I have tons of content on my website, dating all the way back to 2013 when my journey as FlipFlop The Clown began. I promise you won’t get bored—you’ll be entertained for hours.

If we truly want to take back control of our society and stop letting social media companies dictate what we see and say, then we have to stop wasting our time on these apps. Instead, go outside and actually socialize with real people, or start visiting privately owned websites like mine—websites with original, real content made and controlled by real people, not corporations.
